Aromas of acacia and ripe raspberries mingle together to welcome the nose. A flash of ripe fruit kick s off the palate; followed by a cocoa powder, spices, and a velvety finish to this well-balanced wine.
Our 2018 Barbera was harvest in August 2018 then fermented in small lots. Once the fermentations were complete, the wine was aged in once and twice used French oak for approximately 14 months before being bottled in March 2020. Unlike other varieties harvested from our Coble Ranch Vineyard, our Barbera’s acid profile is the primary gauge for harvest readiness, rather than sugar content.
