Tasting Notes: Our 2015 Chardonnay proudly stands apart from all others. A perfect balance of new French oak barrels, bright acidity, and the delicate flavors inherent in the varietal, this wine has a lot to say. It boasts rich aromas of lemon zest, a kiss of oak and honeysuckle. On the palate it is complimented by nuances of baking spices including cinnamon and cardamom. This wine pairs well with poultry, pastas and more. This wine is an excellent choice for a girl’s night out or just as a way to relax after a long day.
Winemakers Notes: Ever since my time studying winemaking in New Zealand, I’ve loved crisp stainless steel fermented white wines. My goal with the 2015 Chardonnay was to create a balanced wine that honored the tradition of the varietal while still putting my own twist on it. I went about this by creating a gently pressed Chardonnay made from a blend of two clones that was only partially oaked. The result is a complex white wine with a medium body that still retains the refreshing characteristic found in other whites. I hope you enjoy! Cheers!
