Tasting Notes: This Portuguese white is light and refreshing with layers of complexity. A wide range of aromas from honeysuckle and green apple to mango and guava make for an enjoyable, light wine with soft flavors. Low in alcohol, it is delightfully bright with a lingering finish that is complimented by a subtle minerality. It pairs nicely with grilled vegetables and seafood.
Winemakers Notes: The 2015 Verdelho was the first wine to be made on our new 4 ton basket press! Following a very light crush, the grapes were gently pressed to make sure the juice remained light and delicate. We fermented the wine at 50 degrees as to preserve the fruit characteristics. I particularly enjoy this wine as a versatile and easy to drink white that goes great with hot summer days and I hope I can inspire you to do the same.
