This gorgeous, medium-bodied wine is deep ruby in hue with mineral-driven aromas of wet stone and earth with subtle undertones of cardamom. Opening with dark plum and hints of cocoa, the tannins build to a white pepper finish. Pair this elegant wine with roasted leg of lamb and vegetables, Indian tandoori meats, or other darker meats with exotic spices.
Our Syrah is only six rows, planted in two different places on the Coble Ranch Vineyard. Once arriving at the winery, we use our optical sorter to process the fruit and ferment in a small bin. We average only about a ton of grapes for this varietal. Once fermentation is completed, we press the Syrah in traditional basket press and age in neutral barrels for 16 months.
