Our Tempranillo boasts a deep garnet-red color, revealing a rich and concentrated character. The inviting aroma features a blend of dark fruits, subtle spices, and a hint of earthiness. On the palate, it exhibits a well-balanced structure with medium to full body, showcasing dark fruit notes, nuanced black pepper spiciness, and velvety tannins. The wine's complex layers unfold with flavors of plum, tobacco, leather, and a harmonious touch of oak, leading to a satisfying, lingering finish.
Our Tempranillo is located at the highest elevation on the Coble Ranch Vineyard. The Tempranillo block consists of two different soil series, allowing for minerality and richness to be characterized in the finished wine. It was harvested in three lots and fermented in bins before being pressed in our traditional basket press. Once pressed, we aged the Tempranillo in twice used French oak barrels for 18 months.
